WHEELSCIENCE RIDERS
We love to hear from our riders. If you want to share your story with us please do so - Peter@wheelscience.com
Chris "Hoppo" Hopkinson
Multiple-time world 24-hour TT champion and all round good bloke. We cannot even begin to list his achievements here - not enough room and we cannot keep up!. Just check him out on Facebook HERE
Chris rides the Elemental 88's, has rear disc, a set of Elemental 38's and also has a set of 50mm Elementals. Yes, those are rainbow decals - you get to have them when you're a World Champ. He holds the record for the most km's on a set of our wheels, and it keeps going up!
Kursat - Turkey
Kursat wrote to us in February 2022 after breaking his favorite rear race wheel (a different brand). After a few emails, we supplied an Everest 45mm rear. This week he got in touch to let us know he had won the Turkish over 40s national championship, in fact, he had not failed to win a race since his wheel arrived. We are not about to take credit for that but to be a part of it is just amazing.
Steve - UK
Steve needed some wheels for the Paris-Roubaix challenge - 170kms over the same wheel-destroying cobbles that cost so many pros their rims that year! We set Steve up with some an Everest XL build with the DT180 hubs. He had an awesome ride!
Jocelyn Maccauley - USA
Muliple-time Ironman champion. We sponsored Jocelyn for two years, during which she rode our Elemental wheels. She had a 60mm and 88mm front wheel and an 88m plus rear disc. In those two years she recorded some amazing bike times including setting a new record at Ironman Texas.
Ryan Tetz - USA
The fastest known self powered ascent from Badwater to Whitney. Ryan rode the Elemental 88-disc and a set of Everest 1 wheels in this record-breaking feat of endurance.
Rich - USA
Rich is a repeat offender, have multiple sets of our Elemental wheels for CX racing. He prefers tubbies with the slightly thinner Elemental 26mm profile.
Jared - USA
Jared was kind enough to drop us a "1-year check-in" email. Jared first got in touch with us in 2019, Jared is a 100kg (220lb) watt monster (our words, not his). We conversed back and forth, Jared ordered his wheels last year in April. We went for the Elemental 50mm DT 240 build for him to allow for maximum power transfer at his power output. Rather than relate his entire email I will just let you see the data from one of his races, he won by a clear margin in the sprint, at over 1370 watts.
Phil- USA
"These 38 elemental are what i originally purchased for the hills around Bratislava with a 32 rear cassette m. But they ride so well I’ve been using them most of the time and my 58 Reynolds are stuck in the bags. Perfect in every wayI asked for a stealth shinny finish to match the bike and as you can see I couldn’t of asked for anything better…..110% happy after more than a year."
Chris - Australia
Chris is a long-time friend of Wheelscience. This is him in Kona, at the Ironman world championship. As you can see everyone else is just trying to keep up!
